From Aii Alumnus to Outstanding Human Resource: The Journey of Mr. Leang Chea Lai with the China Government Scholarship

Recently, Aii Language Center, Sen Sok Campus, had the great honor of welcoming back one of its outstanding alumni, Mr. Leang Chea Lai, who returned to share his valuable experiences with students and parents. His journey represents a powerful example of transforming personal potential into future opportunities.

Mr. Leang Chea Lai completed GEP 12 at Aii in 2021. With a strong foundation in English and solid academic preparation from Aii, he pursued his dream of studying in China. He received a China Government Scholarship and spent four productive years completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science in 2025.

Studying abroad did not only equip him with in-depth knowledge in computer science; it also broadened his worldview and significantly strengthened his soft skills. Through living and studying with international students, he learned independence, adaptability, and problem-solving—essential skills for future career success. This academic journey helped him grow in all aspects, both academically and personally.

After successfully completing his studies, Mr. Leang Chea Lai decided to return to Cambodia to contribute to human resource development, especially by inspiring the next generation of Aii students. During his sharing session, he presented “Top Secrets to Earning a Scholarship,” emphasizing the importance of:

• Strong language foundation: English and Chinese serve as bridges to international opportunities.
• Commitment and perseverance: Success does not happen by accident—it comes from discipline and determination.
• Self-awareness: Understanding your interests and abilities is key to choosing the right path.
